Canada Post Strike

Due to the Canada Post rotating strike currently in effect, OWWCO has implemented the following measures:

  • To ensure we receive your applications for certificates/licences (upgrade, renewals and OIT) and exams on timely basis, we encourage submission by fax, with payment by credit card. Where credit card payment is not possible, please arrange for your application to be couriered or hand delivered to our office during regular business hours. Please be reminded that it is your responsibility to ensure that your certificate(s)/licence(s) are renewed on time.
  • Exam registration letters will continue to be mailed out. If you have not received your examination registration letter 5 days prior to your examination date, please send an email to requesting an electronic copy to be emailed to you.
  • Exam study guides will be delivered by courier.
  • Operator certificates and licences will be processed but held in our office until the end of the labour disruption.  Operators wishing to know the status of their certificate or licence can view a current listing by visiting the main page of our website and clicking on the Operator Listing Report link. This report is a comprehensive record of legally certified and licensed drinking water and wastewater operators in Ontario and should be used to verify operator certification. This report is normally updated monthly but will be updated weekly during a rotational strike.

In the event of a change in circumstances (e.g. full strike or lockout), please visit this page for additional information.
