Comment Period Extended – Changes Proposed to Ontario’s Drinking Water Regulations’

This proposal notice was originally posted on August 23, 2016 with a 45 day comment period ending October 07, 2016. It has been re-posted to extend the comment period an additional 14 days, ending October 21, 2016.

The Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks is proposing amendments to Ontario Regulation 128/04: Certification of Drinking Water System Operators and Water Quality Analysts, and other drinking water regulations. View the entire proposal and provide your input on the Environment Registry (#012-8244) by October 7, 2016.

The proposed amendments include updates to the requirements for Limited System Certification and Drinking Water Operator-in-Training (OIT) Certification.

The revised and new standards for substances, and the other actions we are proposing, would improve the quality of drinking water in the province and ensure that Ontario remains a leader in drinking water protection.
